Illustrious Devrukhe - In Education, Professions
This is only indicative List of Achievers who made Devrukhe proud by their work in this world. The Sr. Numbers does not indicate any chronological order and are used only for reference purpose.

1) Late Dr kashibai Vasudeo Navrange (born 15/Oct/1878 Death 21/Aug/1946). Daughter of businessman and social reformer, Vasudeo Babaji Navrang.
When Indian ladies were not learning, Dr. Kashibai passed Matric in
1896 and B.A in 1901 from Wilson college, Mumbai with flashing
colours. She was first lady graduate from Mumbai University. In 1907
she passed L.M. & S (Medical Practitioners exam.) and started her own clinic in Bhuleshwar, Mumbai. An illustrious social worker, Dr Navrange, died of cancer on 21.08.1946.

2) Late Krishnaji Bhaskar Virkar - From Vir, Chiplun. MA, MEd. Was having Mastery in English and published his own Marathi to English Dictionary called Little Modern Dictionary, Anmol Prakashan (Also known as Virkars Dictionary). Established various educational institutes, schools & Colleges named as Abhinava Vidyalaya Primary School (Marathi Medium), Abhinava Vidyalaya Pre-Primary School (Marathi Medium), Abhinava Vidyalaya High School (Marathi Medium), Abhinava Vidyalaya Pre-Primary School (English Medium), Abhinava Vidyalaya High School (English Medium), Institute of Management Education (IME),  and Under  Adarsha Shikshan Mandali, Pune) http://www.asm.ac.in/  Adarsha Comprehensive College of Education and Research, Adarsha Institute of Information Technology (3rd & 4th Flr.), Sou Sushilabai Virkar Adarsha Boys school.

3) Late Vishnupant Chande, Mahad – Teacher, First Devrukhe to get Rashtrapati Puraskar as teacher.

4) Shri M. G. Pimputkar (ICS) – Ex Municipal Commissioner of Greater Mumbai. Worked in Govt of India for long time. From 1974 - 77 he was working as Secretary in planning commission while Indira Gandhi was PM. http://planningcommission.nic.in/aboutus/history/past_secy.pdf

5) Late Krishnaji Keshav Ambedkar (Mulye): Krishnaji Keshav Ambedkar was a son of a teacher named Keshav Narayan Mulye who migrated from Ambed Budruk near Sangmeshwar, Ratnagiri to Satara for Teachers Job. After going there he changed his name from Mulye to Ambedkar. Krishnaji also became teacher in Missionary school, Satara  where Dr. Babasaheb (Bhimrao) Ambedkar,  whose original surname was Sakpal and later changed to Ambavadekar based upon his native place Ambavade in Ratnagiri,  learned upto 4th std. Krishnaji Teacher,  who liked brilliant Dr. Babasaheb (Bhimrao) Ambavadekar. Dr. Babasheb also liked him and had a faith on

6) Late Kamalabai Vishnu Nimbkar, Pioneering work in Occupational Therapy and Rehabilation in India. There is a book in the name of ‘Kamalabai Nimbkar, An Extraordinary Person’ available with Director ‘Pragat Shikshan Mandal, Phaltan http://www.indiaprogressiveeducation.com/

7) Padma shri Dr. Bonbehari Vishnu Nimbkar, (S/o Late Vishnupant R. Nimbkar) of Nimbkar Agricultural Research Institute, Phaltan. http://www.nariphaltan.org/  was awarded Padma Shri, by ex president Dr A. P. J. 8) Late Dean Dr. Dattatraya Vishnu Virkar, J.J. Hospital, Surgeon General Maharashtra.
9) Late  Dr. Vasudeo Dinkar Nimbkar, FRCS, Army: Founder Member Devrukhe
    Brahmin Vidhyarthi Sahayak Mandal in 1907, which was amalgamated in 1975 with
    other educational Trusts of Devrukhe to form ‘Vidhyarthi Sahayak Sanstha’. He was
    Sanskrit Scholar and Translated Bhagvad Geeta in marathi.

10) Late Dr. Madhukar Govind Juvekar – Practicing Doctor in Mombasa, Keneya.
      Has donated good sum of money to Vidhyarthi Sahayak Sanstha & Mumbai University.

11) Late Prof Dr. Vishwanath  Krishna Nimkar, Baroda, was MSc, Phd from Manchester University in Textile and a Leading Social worker, Devoted to Vidhyarthi Sahayak Sanstha, Devrukhe Brahmin Sangh.

12) Late Vitthal Narayn Karode - M.Com, Director - Firestone, He was first Indian Finance Director, Firestone India an American Multinational. Leading Social worker devoted to Vidhyarthi Sahayak Sanstha.

13) Dr  Shri Manohar Vishnath Nimkar, MSc, Phd –(S/o Prof Dr. Vishwanath Krishna Nimkar, Baroda, MSc, Phd) ex Director Bombay Dyeing, Leading Social worker devoted to Vidhyarthi Sahayak Sanstha.

14) Shri Gajanan Shankar Sudrik, Ex Director, Bombay Dyeing. Devoted to Vidhyarthi Sahayak Sanstha.

15) Late Dr. Vishwanath Khadpekar, Delhi. – Leading Architect, Town Planner, Phd in Marathi and external examiner for Phd in Marathi at Nagpur University.

16) Late Dr. Raghunath Atmaram Virkar, PhD, in Zoology, Prof & HOD for some time at Kean College, NJ,  USA

18) Late Yashvant Sakharam Nimbkar, MSc (Immunology). Research in Bacteriology & Worked as upto Deputy Director, Halfkin Institute, Parel, Mumbai. Was working as an expert for WHO in the area of Bacteriology.

19) Prof Shridhar Tukaram Nimkar, M.A, Scholar in Sanskrit, Pali, Ardhamaghadi.

21) Dr. Tushar Chande, B. Tech ( I. I. T. Kharagpur), Phd (Engg). Tushar Chande, a principal of Tuscarora Capital Management (a registered CTA based in Chicago), is a scientist, inventor, author, and trader who has traded most of the major futures markets for his own account. 33) Dr Pankaj Chande: Vice Chancellor of Kavi Kulguru Kalidas Sanskrit University, Ramtek, near Nagpur since 1997, the year in which the university was established. He was reappointed in 2002 & 2007 for another 5 years. Student of Hislop College, Nagpur, is Phd in Sanskrit from Nagpur University.  Has done specialization in classical and Modern Sanskrit Literature.

41) Dr. Bhalchandra D. Bhole; Pune;Retired Associate Professor and Head,  Department of Microbiology, Abasaheb Garware College, Karve Road, Pune 411 004.

42) Prashant Narayan Juvekar, Vile Parle, B. Tech, ICT Mumbai, MS. Univ. of Maine, USA,  MBA Carnegie Mellon, USA. Research Analyst in Chemicals and Energy with Solomon Brothers for 22 years, MD and Research Analyst with Citi Group in Petrochemicals. Secured one of the first three ranks, several times as best research analyst in "Institutional Investors Magazine". Presently working as senior advisor in BCG ( Boston Consulting Group ) in equity and financial research Analysis. Visiting faculty with Several prestigious Universities in the US in the same field. Was president of 5th Devrukhe Brahman Parishad held at Ratnagiri. 

43) Dr. Meenesh Juvekar, MD, Consultant ENT and Cochlear Implant Surgeon (otolaryngologist), Bombay Hospital, Fortis Hospital, Juvekar Nursing Home.

44) Dr. Abhay Narayan Juvekar,  D.Sc., Vileparle, Mumbai. He did Ph.D in "Development of Mathematical model for business Process in Information Technology Organizations" and then Post Doctoral studied D.Sc. in "Vendor selection Algorithm in supply chain management". He has been working in Software industry for many decades and completed both studies while working. He is the son late Narayan Achut Juvekar who was president of Devrukhe Brahmin Sangh, Vileparle.
