Illustrious Devrukhe - Freedom Fighters, National Leaders, Politicians.
This is only indicative List of Achievers who made Devrukhes proud by their work in this world. The Sr. Numbers does not indicate any chronological order and are used only for reference purpose.

1) Late Antaji Damodar Kale: Founder of paisa Fund. Started a Paisa Fund Glass factory at Talegao, Near Pune, a first co-operative run Industry in Independent India. The idea of the fund itself came from Antaji Damodar Kale, who helped set up the Paisa Fund Glass Works in Talegaon near Pune, the first glass factory in India.  The Paisa Fund was made famous by Bal Gangadhar Tilak, who went from village to village, asking farmers to contribute a paisa to the Paisa Fund. http://www.ogale.com/silverbook/page7.htm It is now known as Ogale Glass works (Taken over).

2) Late Veer Wamanrao Sitaram Mukadam, Godhra, Gujarath was a Local Swarajist Leader, Swadeshi Premi and Gandhiji’s Follower. Worked along with Vallabhbhai Patel in Gujarath. Was president of ‘1st Akhil Devrukhe Brahmin Parishad’ during 16-18, April 1927 at Dahivali, Karjat (http://www.kamat.org/picture.asp?Name=c255.jpg)

3) Late Narayan Damodar alias Nanasaheb Devdhekar , from Umbargaon, Member of Legislative Council, after becoming LLB he did practice for 4-5 years and join non co-operation movement of Mahatma Gandhi. After starting as an ordinary member of Taluka Congress committee, he reached to become member of prestigious All India Congress committee. He was also Swagataadhyakha ‘3rd Akhil Devrukhe Brahmin Parishad’.

4) Late  Shankar Bhargav Kulkarni: Swatantra Sainik, Opened a School at Achara, Konkan. Sanskrit Scholar.

5) Late Ganesh Ramchandra Dange :  Swatantra Sainik

6) Late Keshavrao Trimbak Karulkar, Umbargaon, Social worker from Childhood, Founded
    ‘ Vasantotsav Eykavardhak Sabha’ which further started school, Indian made cloth store,
    Library. Being an agriculturist, he started ‘Umbargao, Taluka Sheti Sudharana Mandal’.

7) Late Comrade R. S. Nimkar a leading Communist personality and Labour leader. (There is a road in name of R. S. Nimkar at Bombay Central, Mumbai)

8) Late Comrade G. H. Kale: Trade Union Leader of Bombay Port Trust & Founder member of Communist party of India.

9) Late Comrade V. G. Nimkar: Communist Labour Leader.

10) Shri Vishnu Sadashiv Kokje M.A., L.L.B , Lawyer  – Governor, Himachal Pradesh (From 8 th May 2003), Ex Chief Justice Rajasthan High Court,  Ex Judge Madhya Pradesh High Court. http://hpvidhansabha.nic.in/gov.htm, presently he has been elected as President of International Vishwa Hindu Parishad.

11) late Col. Yashwant Dhondo Bhadsavle, Neral. Served in Royal Indian Air force as kings commissioned officer in 1942. He got recruited in Indian Army in 1948 and fought on Nefa border in Hindi – Chini war in 1962.

12) late. Shri. Haribhau Dhondo Bhadsavle was a swatantryasainik . a social worker and
      socialist.
13) Mr. Vikas Yashwant Bhadsavle retired squadron leader.
14) Smt Pushpatai Kale, MLA, Delhi Vidhan Sabha,
15) Mrs Manishatai Nimkar, MLA, Shiv Sena, Wada Constituency.
16) Advocate Balkrishna Dattatraya Joshi, Ex Corporator BMC.
17) Digambar Ranganath Mahajan. Ex Corporator BMC
